What I cover: I cover most sports but have a special interest in motorsport, cricket and many of the lesser Olympic sports. I hope to bring my own opinions along with behind the headline background stories of New Zealand athletes. I especially enjoy writing about up-and-coming athletes.

My background: I have been a sports journalist for almost 40 years and have helped produce a number of programmes during the years including Sports Roundup. I have covered numerous Olympic and Commonwealth Games along with a couple of Rugby World Cups.
