The programme celebrated the music of Spain, featuring works by composers Joaquin Turina, Joaquin Rodrigo, and Manuel de Falla. On the podium is conductor Pablo González.
González honed his craft with the Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra and numerous major European orchestras, and for this performance, he brings the music of his homeland to Aotearoa.
The recording includes Joaquin Rodrigo’s renowned Concierto de Aranjuez, featuring the acclaimed guitarist JIJI as the soloist.
