Four films capturing the lives of the Samoan community of Carson City have been included in the Pacific Cinewaves talanoa events.

This is a Visual Communications event, an organisation that develops and supports the voices of Asian Americans and Pacific film and media artists to empower communities and challenge perspectives.

Esperanza Bay, of Samoan/African American descent, is an archivist for Visual Communications, and one of the co-leads on this project.

She described the four films to RNZ Pacific's Moera Tuilaepa-Taylor.
