The Government has announced another crackdown on dangerous buildings with concerns centred on Wellington City.

It will use emergency powers under the recent Hurunui/Kaikōura Earthquakes Recovery Act to require building owners in Wellington, Hutt Valley and Marlborough to secure facades and parapets within 12 months.
