‘We have to try and do things differently’ - PM on prisons

The government has launched an ambitious plan to drastically cut the number of Maori in prison from 52 percent down to 16 - to match the overall Maori population.

But can this be achieved? Does this strategy - Hokai Rangi - address the root causes of the disproportionate number of Maori in jail?

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern spoke to Corin Dann about the plan.
