The Wallabies coach Dave Rennie criticised referee Mathieu Raynal for lacking a "feel" for the game situation after the Frenchman's intervention cost the Wallabies dearly in their controversial defeat to the All Blacks last night in Melbourne. Raynal took the ball off Bernard Foley in the last minute for time-wasting as the Wallabies first five looked to kick a penalty to touch with Australia leading by 3 points. Jordie Barrett then scored for the All Blacks after the fulltime siren to seal the 39-37 victory and win the Bledisloe Cup for a 20th successive year.
