Road rage victim injured, shaken by assault in Otago

Police say a person was moderately injured in a road rage assault in Mosgiel and they are appealing for information.

Constable Hayden Latta said the assault happened on the Mosgiel motorway off-ramp leading to the Quarry Road roundabout at 4pm on June 25.

"One person received moderate injuries and was understandably shaken by the incident."

He said police were appealing to the public for any information.

"While our investigation into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing, police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed what happened.

"We would also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the motorway and Quarry Road off-ramp area at the time."

Latta said any information that might assist police enquiries can be given to police by contacting them at 105.police.govt.nz, clicking "Update Report" or calling 105 and using the reference number 250625/4075.

Anyone can also provide information anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 0800 555 111.
