Three pedestrians injured in serious Manurewa crash

Police are investigating a serious crash in Manurewa that saw three people rushed to Middlemore Hospital on Friday.

Hato Hone St John confirmed three ambulances and an emergency response vehicle were dispatched to the scene at about 6.13pm to assess three injured - two in serious condition and one moderate.

A car collided with the pedestrians and then left the scene before police arrived.

Traffic management was in place, while the serious crash unit examined the scene at Wordsworth Road.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and expect delays.
