Two more arrests after Auckland supermarket carpark altercation

Police have arrested another two men in connection with an altercation in the carpark of an Auckland supermarket on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident occurred at about 4.40pm on 16 September and police allege a firearm was fired in the Hobsonville carpark.

Police say they have executed search warrants at three addresses in West Auckland, seized three vehicles and a number of items of interest in the investigation.

Police arrested a 25-year-old man at about 9.30pm on Wednesday and he is expected to appear in Waitākere District Court on Thursday on a charge of wounding with intent.

A 20-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday morning and is charged with assault with intent to rob and driving without a licence.

On Wednesday, a 24-year-old Auckland man who is charged with wounding with intent and reckless discharge of a firearm appeared in Waitākere District Court.

Police are not ruling out further arrests and say enquiries are ongoing.
