The IPCA said the allegations involved a senior officer who was claimed to have bullied several members of his team, including making "derogatory and sexist remarks" against women.
"The Police investigation found that most of the allegations were upheld, and that the officer's behaviour amounted to serious misconduct. Police carried out an employment process for the officer."
The Authority was "satisfied" with the police investigation and accepted the conclusions reached.
Auckland Deployment Commander Superintendent Zane Hooper said in a statement to RNZ an employment investigation into the allegations was carried out and determined that the member's behaviour was in breach of the Police Code of Conduct.
"The behaviour is unacceptable, and we take these matters very seriously, however for privacy reasons I am unable to comment further around specifics of the process.
"I can, however, confirm that the member involved has since been moved to another role with different responsibilities."
