A person has died after being found unconscious in a body of water near Kaikohe this morning.
Police say they were called to a property on Browns Road south of Kaikohe at about 10.30am.
The person couldn't be revived and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say Victim Support is offering assistance to the family.
