Aotearoa indie-pop singer Fazerdaze has announced a collection of winter shows across the country.

The tour follows her recent success at the Aotearoa Music Awards, where she took home Best Solo Artist and Album of the Year for 2024’s Soft Power (Buttrfly Records).

Fazerdaze caught up with Emile Donovan about the tour, and her latest single, ‘Motorway’.

Lake South performs three songs live on Music 101.

South is an electronic singer-songwrtier from Pōneke. The singer is currently touring his new album, We lived our lives on top of this, with his band, with dates spanning the North and South Island.

The band has toured Canada, New Zealand and Australia, and they were booked to play at SXSW 2020 before its cancellation. They played Camp a Low Hum in 2024 and Pōneke’s Cubadupa in 2025, and are set to tour Europe in 2026.

Aotearoa’s music community is paying tribute to well-respected manager Lorraine Barry.

Originally from Northern Ireland, Barry emigrated to Aotearoa in 2002. She was the manager behind Dave Dobbyn, Tom Scott, Mark Vanilau, Nomad and more recently, acts like Avantdale Bowling Club and Home Brew.

In her RNZ Music Mixtape from 2018, Barry shared songs and tales from her international career working with Massive Attack, Chemical Brothers, Ice T, Soul II Soul and most famously the Spice Girls.
